THIS BLOG'S FOR YOU

THIS BLOG'S FOR YOU

Who is this Blog for?, you might ask. And it's a legitimate question. There seems to be a tiny niche for every one these days, described down to the minutest detail. On Facebook, you can join a page for people who have just begun to keep a ball python. On Amazon, a book may be listed on the Romantic Suspense Beach Theme Category list. As an epicurian, you can describe yourself as a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Believe me, there's a category for EVERYBODY.

But this blog is different. I believe it has a wider appeal. While we're each a unique individual, loved and valued by God, admired and appreciated by those in our sphere of influence, I have a feeling that many of you can relate to some of the same things I feel and do.

So, this blogs for you if..

you've ever “finished” a puzzle and it looked like this...

your “family song” is Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne.

you have decorations leaning up against the wall in your living room because in the three years you've lived here, you haven't determined where to hang them.

you have a morning basket by your chair, and an “overflow basket” and an “overflow pile” and another “pile” and a “pile in a bag” in case you get called in to “work” unexpectedly.

you like your coffee light and your chocolate dark.

you look up at the corner of your window and realize you've never taken down your “Halloween decorations” from last fall

you've collected the best, most classic children's books since long before you had children, and your children won't touch a one of them unless you assign them.

you give up and just put “last season's” backyard socks and underwear on the burn pile when you rake up the leaves in the spring. (No?! Just me?)

you homeschool through the hot flashes.

you agonized over the PERFECT name for each of your angelic little ones, but are yourself usually know as “bruh.”

your most recent backyard birthday party was interrupted by your neighbor practicing on his shooting range.

you've learned with Aesop that slow and steady really does win the race, or get the job done, or whatever. Anyhow, it's the way you roll, and it's too late to change now.

Welcome! We're all in the same boat. I hope my words will encourage you in some way. I believe we're all muddling through the best we can, and it's good enough.
